Why would a loving God send people he created to hell?

If you read the whole bible, one key thing that stands out is that the word of God is binding.
"If a man makes a vow to the LORD, or takes an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth." - Numbers 30:2
Often, people operate their life based upon their own understanding. For example, if you grew up around a loving, happy, outgoing family, you're more likely going to be loving, happy, and outgoing because you were exposed to that environment from a young age. Thus, you are more likely to have a more positive outlook on family and life. Because humans are taught to reason based upon what they can see and have experienced, it's hard for most people to understand that their specific experience is not applicable to everyone else's.

From observation, I've noticed that both non-believers, and some believers do not understand what it means to live by their word; because none of us has ever lived by every single word that we've spoken. Thank God, for that!

Why is the word of God binding?
Because God is his word. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." - John 1:1 Unlike mankind, God cannot not lie, because if God lied, he would be a lier. "
God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?. - Numbers 23:19
Now why would a loving God send people he created to hell?
It's important to note, that God has given mankind free will to choose between evil and good. The choice to do evil is done by not believing in Jesus, and the choice to do good is done by believing in Jesus. So, since we get to choose whether or not we want to believe the word of God; let's switch the question to, Why would a loving God allow the people he created to go to hell?

Great question! Because God said so. What I mean is that the word of God says "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23 The only way to be free from sin (sin = death) is to believe in Jesus Christ.  "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." - Romans 6:14-23. I know it's hard to believe that someone is capable of keeping every word that was spoken. Whether you believe it or not, doesn't make it untrue. Take for example, just because you cannot see air, doesn't mean that it's not there. So literally, God cannot say one thing and do another thing, as mankind does. We switch our words, intentions, and actions all the time. But God, is his word.

How was Adam and Eve given free will?
Image result for brown jesusIn the beginning, God created mankind to have an intimate relationship with mankind but not by force, which is why he gave mankind free will. Adam and Eve was given free will by allowing them to choose whether or not they would believe his word. "But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." - Genesis 3:3. Adam and Eve didn't believe God, and they died spiritually. If you believe that a chair is going to support you, and you want to sit down, you would sit down. If you believe that eating an apple, would kill you, would you eat it? Well, Adam and Eve didn't believe the word of God.

As at Adam, they have broken the covenant; they were unfaithful to me there. Hosea 6:7

Why do we need to be saved? Why did God send his son, so that we can be saved?
Firstly, because he loves us so much. However, on a deeper level. It's because sin was introduced into the world and to mankind as we read in the book of Genesis. However, sin has been established by God before mankind was created. God created mankind to be free from sin, and free from knowing what sin is. Mankind was never supposed to have to deal with sin. And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil -Genesis 3:22. Thus, hell was never intended for mankind. Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. - Matthew 25:41 God loved us so much, that even when mankind sinned he gave us another option to have eternal life with him in heaven; through his son Jesus.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
Why is is sin such a bad thing?
Because God said so. If you're asking why should mankind have to live according to the word of God; the answer to your question, is that we don't. However, our choices will determine where you will spend eternity. Either in heaven with God or hell with the god of this world, Satan.
"The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.”- Genesis 6:5-7
