God's Plan vs Your Plan

God's Plan vs Your Plan

The word of God says that God has a plan for us. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 God's plan for our life, requires us to have FAITH. The word also tells us that we cannot please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6), and that's because we will not be able to get to his plan, if we do not have faith in him.

Man's plan is based upon our own abilities. For some, their own plan is limited by their lack of accomplishments in life, and others by their own great accomplishments (e.g. What we think we can do, and what we think the outcome will be, and how much education we have and how much
experience is needed to get us to where we want to God).

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12
I work at a well-known company in Silicon Valley. God told me that he sent me there to minister to one person. In August, God told me to submit my resignation. I ASSUMED that God told me to do so, so that my company could offer me more money. I didn't ask God what his plan was, because I was focused on me  (e.g. I'm not going to be able to get a new job so quickly, because I just started this job in March and it's not going to look great on my resume.) So, I was out of God's plan for my life for 3 months because of fear, and I suffered. Before August, I was so blessed at my company. I received a nice merit increase, my team members and I were getting along perfectly. I was so at peace.

From August until November, I thought the devil was trying to get me to give up on my job. I kept rebuking the devil, but it was the Holy Spirit who was telling me that he is leading me somewhere else. Towards the end of October, I had this unction in my spirit to leave. In November, after crying out to God, to ask him what's going on, he revealed to me that I was not in his plan for my life. He told me what to do, which was to turn in a second resignation letter to my job, and this time actually expect to leave. He told me to do this before, I had a physical guarantee of a new job. In short, he told me to have faith him. Please note: God gave me a spiritual guarantee. The word tells us that the Holy Spirit will show us the things to come (John 16:13). Please do not quit your job without direction from the Holy Spirit.

So, I applied to a job, at a well known tech company in silicon valley. Less then 24 hours I received a request to interview.  It was as if I didn't have to do anything but walk out in faith and apply. God took care of the rest. What I've realized is that when believers who have their foundations founded in God, are walking in God's plan, everything is easy.  For clarity, read the article I wrote titled Foundation.

I cried out to God, and made a HEART decision, that by the grace of God, I'd never operate outside of his plan. Repeat after me "God's plan is the only plan that I have. His plan is my plan. I will not try to help God's with his plan. I remove any preconceived notion on how God's plan will affect my life. All I have to do is have faith, and I do have faith in God. I choose be obedient and willing. I choose to accept God's plan for my life."

You may ask, what happened during those 3 months?
  • The poorest I had ever been
  • Work drama
  • No social life, due to not having money
  • From good credit to bad (YES IN 3 MONTHS)
  • Stress
