Casting Your Pearls to Pigs: DO NOT Accept Others Doubt & Unbelief

Unfortunately, there are believers in Christ who stopped believing after receiving their justification. Meaning they believe they are justified but don’t believe any other promise made in the word of God. To be clear, justification requires a person to have faith that Jesus is able to forgive that person of their sins, and that is where a lot of believers stop or struggle for various reasons. After justification, the sanctification process starts. The Bible tells us that believers are sanctified by truth; the word and the Spirit. Sanctification is the process of becoming Holy, by being set apart from the world. In John 17:16, Jesus asks God to sanctify his disciples.“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” To read more about justification and sanctification, please read the post titled Justification & Sanctification & Glorification.

The reason why I mentioned justification and sanctification is because some believers are still carnally minded or weak in faith and thus, cannot understand spiritual matters (read Romans 14). So if you’re standing on a promise in the word of God, which will require faith, it may not be ideal for you to share those details with a doubting believer. Don’t open up any doorways for you to doubt or lose hope or faith.

Imagine if the blind man in John 9:7 would have seen some of his friends or family members while on the way to wash in the pool of Siloam, and stopped to ask him what are you doing? If he would have said, I’m walking by faith, as Jesus told me to do and I am going to wash in the pool and I will receive my sight. They would have probably laughed at him or whispered in unbelief. If the blind man faith was weak, he would have lost his blessings because he would have allowed others unbelief to make him not believe.

Sometimes it’s better to give testimonials(how you were blessed after the fact), instead of telling people what God called you to step out, in faith to do.
"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." Matthew 7:6
