Overcoming Temptation

Question 1. How does Satan tempts us?

Natural advice doesn't help spiritual issues. Sin is a spiritual issue. If you seek to find the answer outside of the word of God, you'll never overcome the tempers, temptation. Rather, you'll be putting a small bandage over a big wound.

Question 3. How do we overcome temptation?

According to Jesus, overcoming temptation is a choice. In Matthew 5:27-30 tells us to cut off the sources of temptation. He doesn't tell us to ask God to do it for us. In the bible Jesus shows us how to overcome temptation by being an example for us, in John 5:30, Matthew 4:3,6, and Matthew 4:9. How did Jesus overcome? By believing the word of God, and speaking it.

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
