The Believer's Fight

The Believer's Fight

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where unto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." 1 Timothy 6:12

If you are a believer, and you are being sanctified through the word of God and or the Holy Spirit, the only fight you are fighting, until you've won the fight is the good fight of faith.

God has already given his children health, provision, eternal life, and righteousness in Jesus, so we should not be fighting for the things that Jesus has fought for and won, for us. In other words, you already have perfect health. If you do not, it is not because it has not be given to you, rather it is because you don't believe you have it. Faith is a decision to believe that you have what the bible tells you have, even if you don't see it, believe or feel like it.

As soon as you believe in God and speak what you believe, you'll see the manifestation.  The only thing that can hinder your faith is hate/unforgiveness.  What does the bible say about being healed? "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."1 Peter 2:24. In John 15:15, Jesus said "My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one."

It is possible to have a great faith, read the post titled Great Faith vs Little Faith. I believe that Jesus had perfect faith, which means he had great faith consistently.

What I've learned on this wonderful journey is that rather than rescuing you from your problems, God wants to walk you threw them. God's intent is to have us stand firm in our faith.
  • 1 Corinthians 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
  • Philippians 1:27 Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel,
  • Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
  • Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
  • James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Please read the following to see how Jesus helped them overcome, as opposed to removing their problems:

The reason God wants to walk you through obstacles in life and problems, is so that you can be sanctified and for the glory of God. - John 17:17
