Addressing Normal

Addressing Normal

God told me to keep my phone service off, and people thought it was abnormal. Have you read the bible? Not having cellphone service in 2019 is more normal than walking on water or feeding 4,000 people off of one meal. Having cell-phone service is not worldy but not obeying God when he tells you to do something because of the cares of this world, is!
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:15-18
I was even called a babe in Christ because the love of God has changed me, and so instead of being offended when people don't treat me well and instead of retaliating, I love them and pray for them. News flash my identity is not in man but is in Christ. I don't have to vindicate myself.
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2
I was told that I don't know what life is about because inwardly they see a change that looks like child-like faith outwardly. Spiritually, I let the message of grace change me so that instead of staying a powerless, defeated church-goer who is so stuck on my own problems, that I cannot serve the body of Christ. Now, Jesus is using me to do what God has planned and purpose for me to do. I'm no longer stuck on life cares, thus making me inefficient in the Kingdom of God.
As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. Matthew 13:22
The more I look like Christ, the more people think I am abnormal. This comforts me because Jesus was not considered normal, especially by religious leaders in his days. Instead of letting the love of Jesus change their life, they could only look at the natural and not see life through the eyes of God.
“But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, how to destroy him." Matthew 12:14
Anything that get close to Jesus will get attacked because church-goers don't understand how a person can be in debt naturally but have so much, joy, peace, love and still tithe. They don't understand how someone can be going through a trial and tribulation and not need prayer because they're so full of peace and rest.
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it. Matthew 7:13-14
If you're not looking like Jesus in your actions and words, you are normal in this world. Being a believer is not a matter of trying to be one, or looking like one. It's actually being one by allowing the Holy Spirit to sanctify you, and the love and grace of Jesus to transform you into his likeness.
