God, the father, God the son [Jesus Christ], and God the Spirit [Holy Spirit]... "don't 👏 got 👏no 👏 favorites." Please understand that those who operate in miracles, and are called to be in the five-fold ministry [apostle, prophet, evangelist, teacher, pastor] have an anointing to help and edify the body of Christ. We have to have a relationship with God ourselves to know what God wants to do in our own lives, just like laymen, and laywomen. The gifts and anointings are not for us, but to help you impact his Kingdom. Before understanding how to be led by the Holy Spirit, we have to understand the following:
  1. The Different Types of Prayers
  2. Spirit, Soul, and Body
  3. Communication with God

Q&A: How does the Holy Spirit lead us by our spirit?
Hebrews 6:19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain. A person who has been born-again receives a new spirit according to [Jeremiah 31:33; Jeremiah 32:39–40; Ezekiel 11:19; Ezekiel 36:26-27; Ezekiel 37:14; Deuteronomy 10:16] and because we have a NEW spirit we have been born again [John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17] and the Holy Spirit who is a Spirit communicates with us because we are a spirit [1 Corinthians 2:11-13], our spirit has a soul, and we live in a physical body [1 Thessalonians 5:23].Thus, we know that our spirit can be trusted. However, our soul which is our emotions and thoughts still need to be sanctified, andddddddd our body still needs to be put in check [1 Corinthians 9:27, The 3 reasons we fast!]. Now that we understand this, we can answer the question "how does the Holy Spirit lead us by our spirit?"
  • If our body and soul are making decisions that oppose what the Holy Spirit put in our spirit we will know because we will not have the inward peace that surpass all understanding that comes from the Holy Spirit regarding that decision [Philippians 4:7, Romans 14:17].
  • The Holy Spirit leads us often by an urge in our spirit, either to do this or not to do this. If we ask him a question, and we are not sensitive to the urge he will also confirm via a sermon, saint, dream, vision, preacher, teacher, and sermon.
Q&A: How do we know when we are grieving the Holy Spirit [not following his lead]?
  • Absence of peace even when the natural is going well
  • Absence of joy even when the natural is going well
Q&A: How can we be sure it's the Holy Spirit?
  • Full of peace even if the natural is bad
  • The Holy Spirit will always lead your spirit in alignment with the word of God
My testimony: Today I was praying to God and I heard Mark 11 in my spirit. This happened two days after my parents inadvertently told me that they did not believe that I was hearing from God and that they did not believe that I was in the will of God because my life from the natural doesn't seem to be blessed. When I heard Mark 11, in my heart I did two things:
  • I thought am I hearing the Lord? [Doubting because of recent events]
  • I thought why would I read Mark 11:23-24. Why? It's not going to be applicable.[Grumbling because I am in my current situation because it's God's will, although he did not cause it. Thus, I grumbled because I was like what's the point of reading it, if it's not going to do anything at this moment.]
Now my mind spoke this although I was not consciously aware of it. However the Holy Spirit knew, which is why he lead me down this path. I ignored what was said and continued to read 1 Timothy. I switched positions on my bed, I went from laying down to sitting up to get a little more comfortable. My fan was on high and when I switched positions the pages in the Bible flipped from 1 Timothy to the beginning of a book. At that moment I did not know it was  the book of Mark. I looked at it to see if it would continue, and I was shocked that while the fan is on high the pages did not flip anymore once it stopped to the beginning of a book. When I looked, I saw that it stopped on Mark chapter 1. I again, decided to ignore the Holy Spirit's leading to read Mark 11 but I had a urge to read it. I finally flipped over to read Mark 11 and before I could get to the famous verses, verses 23 and 24 the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart through leading and not a voice. As I read Mark 11 the Holy Spirit highlighted in my spirit the following:
  • I noticed one thing I hadn't noticed before "all nations in Mark 11:17"
  • Have faith in God also was highlighted meaning, I had forgotten it was there or never paid it attention before.
  • Jesus cursed was unfruitful in his life by speaking a word and having faith in God.
  • I should speak to obstacles in my current trial and tell it to leave.
  • Be careful of being a loveless church like the church in Revelation 1.
  • Doubt regarding whether I was hearing the Lord, tried to creep in my heart from the thoughts in my mind and the Holy Spirit made me aware of this. I remembered that I am God's child. Thus, John 10:4-6 applies to me. I know the voice of Jesus Christ, another voice I will not follow. I had been trying to censor proof my thoughts to the point where it was hindering me more than it was helping me. By doing that I took my eyes off of Jesus and what God in me [the Holy Spirit] could do to censor proof those thoughts. Basically, I was forming a back-up plan instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to be my back-up plan. This gave the enemy room to cause confusion, doubt, steal, kill and destroy.
  • Doubt regarding Mark 11:23-24 in my current trial tried to creep in my heart from the thoughts in my mind  and the Holy Spirit made me aware of this. I am in this trial because God wants me to be in this trial. Not that he caused it but he has allowed it to grow my faith and love, and to also prepare me for the future. So, I thought it was pointless to read Mark 11:23-24, because I am still in this trial due to God's approval. Not realizing that just because he wants me to be in this trial doesn't mean that he wants me to accept all the obstacles. There are some obstacles in a trial that God doesn't want us to experience or go through. However, we have to do something about it because he has given us authority.
Q&A: How does the Holy Spirit speak to us?
  • He will speak to our spirit because we are a spirit, we are not our physical body nor are we our soul (emotions and thoughts). Thus, when we hear him it will be an inward voice and not a outward voice.
Q&A: When does the Holy Spirit speak to us?
  • As the Holy Spirit wills, there is not an exact time or period.
Q&A: How can I be sure it's the Holy Spirit?
  • The Holy Spirit's voice is one with authority and he will often get straight to the point, with few words. What he says will give you direction and it will always align with the word of God, Jesus's plans for your life, and the Father's promise given according to Jesus's plan. Q&A: Why does God use dreams and visions to speak to us?
    • Give us direction on where we should go.
    • If he cannot get us to get our mind and or body under control [a lot idol thoughts] and he needs to tell us something.
    • Confirmation of what was said
Q&A: When will God use dreams and visions to speak to us?
    • As God wills, there is not exact time or period.
Q&A: How can I be sure it's a dream or vision from God?
    • The dream and vision will always lead you in alignment with the word of God. Thus, if we're having a dream or vision in which we are masturbating, in an orgie, smoking, drinking, etc... we know from reading Galatians 5:17-22 that those who are led by the Spirit do not gratify the desires of the flesh. Thus, that dream is not from God.

Q&A: How does angels speak to us?
    • Angels have tongues [1 Corinthians 13:1], as they are spirits too. However, they will speak to you in your native language if you don't know the tongues of angels.
Q&A: When do angels speak to us?
    • Per God's sending and permission [Psalm 103:20]
    • When there is a major change that will happen in which we will be impacted
Q&A: How can I be sure it's an angel from God?
    • Like the Holy Spirit, they will often get straight to the point, with few words.
    • When angels speak to you, you will hear them more distinctively because they are not inside of you like the Holy Spirit. They are speaking outside of your spirit, to your spirit which is inside of your body. Be aware, demons are spirits too and they can deceive [1 John 4:1-6].
    • When in doubt, ask God for confirmation [Deuteronomy 19:15,2 Corinthians 13:1,Numbers 35:30,John 8:17,1 Timothy 5:19,Hebrews 10:28] before following the lead of an angel.
    • Angels will never lead you like the Holy Spirit.
    • The Holy Spirit leads us to trials and tribulations [Matthew 4:1-11].
    • Angels lead us from trials or tribulations[ Acts 12:5-17Matthew 4:11, Acts 27:13-44, Luke 22:43].
    • Note: The angels lead believers differently in the old testament than they did the new testament because in the old testament not all believers had the Holy Spirit.
    My testimony: [watch the video]
    • Change angel
    • Kicked by an angel
    • Spinned by an angel
    • Danced with an angel
    • Pushed by an angel
    • Healed by an angel
    Misconception:
    • The reason why God used a donkey to correct Balaam in Numbers 22:21-39 is because he was in disobedience. We have the Holy Spirit living inside of us and when we choose to be in disobedience, our spirit will convict us and then sin itself with condemn us. God will not use an animal to speak to us.
    Warnings:
    • Allow God to speak to you as he sees fit. Do not try to lead God, if you do a demon may lead you instead.
